Restaurants, Supermarkets, and markets
Brittany is renowned for its fish (particularly sardines, mussels and oysters (all local) but there is a lot of local vegetables and one or two Breton specialities such as cider, "gout" (a Calvados like spirit).
It is possible (actually normal) to eat a five course meal at lunchtime with wine for £7.00 per head - yes the "menu ouvriere" is a fine institution.

Supermarkets and Shops
Being self-catering you will no doubt want to eat at home at least some of the time. As well as supermarkets of varying sizes at St Dolay, La Roche Bernard, Rieux and Redon, you will find plenty of local charcuteries, patisseries, boulangeries, boucheries and the odd take away to stop you going hungry.
